Neilpryde and JP Australia!

I am happy to announce new cooperation in 2014 season. I will be sailing on JP Australia and Neilpryde. The two brands are the leading brands in Windsurf industry so I'm very proud to be a part of it. I believe with their professional help I can reach my dreams much faster! This year I will be organizing many windsurf camps, especially in Greece. Most of the centers on the destinations have high tech JP and Neilpryde equipment which makes the progress of windsurfers even faster! Till next time!

Brazil

It has been long time since my last update... Just too much work, traveling and sailing... I'm in Brazil more than 1 month now and it has been windy almost every single day. We had lots of different conditions so far- waves, flat, a lot of chop but there is always great fun! I sailed most of the time in Jeri in front of Club Ventos and spots close by but last few days I moved to Camocim to upgrade my freestyle skills as there is glassy flat water and strong wind so it's perfect to get safe on the big moves, before hitting the crazy chops again. Last week the wind dropped after 4weeks so I was using F2 Rodeo 96l and 4.7 concept wave but Santa just brought us a big Christmas present with at least 1 week of super strong wind, so I will change back to my smaller weapons Rodeo 90l and 4.3 concept wave . I have to say I am really super happy with my gear, it's so nice to just focus on the sailing as the gear is working sick! till next update... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Home spot was on!

It was a long time since I sailed on this "home" spot... But forecast was really good for Croatia so I was immediately on the road to get some action! I really missed the smell of pine trees, sound of waves hitting the rocks and all the people which I always meet on that kind of spots... It was great time again. First day was a little bit cloudy and wind was dropping, picking up and dropping again but it was around 25kts so it was perfect to play around with my new F2 102l Rodeo 2014 and 4.7 F2 concept wave. I was also testing the 400cm 100% hard top CAAS mast and it was working really good on the new sail... super stable, it made good profile of the sail and really calm in ducking so I'm looking forward even more for the ultra light version of the masts... Next day it was even better, sun woke me up, and the wind started to pick up in the morning already, so around 9am I hit the water and had a lot of fun... even if I was totally broken from the previous day :P. So another 2 cool days at home spot. I can't wait for the next good forecast!

Greek summer

Finally back home after almost 2 month of traveling in Greece… FIrst I was on Lesvos in Sigri, where I organized a windsurf camp. It should be just one week, but I had to extend it for another week as there was so many applications and I don't accept more than 10 people per week. So 2 weeks of Sigri was very very nice… good wind, nice people and like always super good local food. We had a great time with the group and I even had some time to sail after the lessons, so I was really stoked… Thanks again to sigrisurf ( Marcel and Martina ) for hospitality and all the help! After that it was a very tiering trip in front of me… 1 day ferry from Lesvos to Pireaus, then the whole day in the port and another day with the ferry to Karpathos… It was not easy, but it's always really cool to travel with the ferry! So finally I had a chance to see one of the windiest places on the planet… I actually never wanted to visit this place, but it looks like there was some hidden reason why it was not pulling me there… Anyway… windy every single day… first week I was totally overpowered on my 4.0 F2 freestyle concept and 96l F2 Rodeo, then it f got better- I was just overpowered… I also received my 2014 gear , but unfortunately it was 102l and 4.7 which was always uncontrollable too big. there was just two evenings the wind dropped and I was lucky to try it… Just unbelievable… the sail is so stable and has so much lift in the moves…beside that is really strong and lighter than my 2013 4.0 ( which is already super light)… 400cm CAAS Power wave mast 100% carbon with hard top fit perfectly so I have no complains… Enough of this spec thing… The island… it's just great! Super different nature and very beautiful beaches… all the locals are very nice… maybe a little bit strange ( they say it's just this year) but all in all… top! Definitely I will come next year ! The best thing is that the wind is blowing the whole day, and you don't have any worries about it… so you can relax, do your thing, then hit the water and have a great time… I improved a lot in 4 weeks and I am happy to get my old motivation back! Lets see what the future brings ;)

First EFPT competition in RUSSIA

End of June first EFPT competition was held. This time in a totally different place... Not the first time and I hope not the last, in small town called Eysk in Russia... The expectations were a bit different. It was really nice place, super warm, around 27 degrees celsius every day and mostly sunny.. So real summer. We even had 2 days of wind to perform double elimination. It was light but still doable. I was using 96l F2 Rodeo , 4.4 F2 freestyle concept on 370cm CAAS power wave mast and 5.2 freestyle concept on 400cm super light CAAS power wave mast. Unfortunately in the single elimination I had problems with the back boom clips, which got disconnected and I couldn’t show what I can do, so I had another chance in double elimination, where I passed first heat and in the second I started to downwind( couldn't go upwind because of the lack of wind) in the area, so I was struggling to stay in the area and couldn’t manage to make the highest level moves. I finished on 13th place which is ok after all the complications... Despite the complications it was a very good experience to take part in the event and hopefully I will get another chance to show my skills next year!

Beside competing I was also filming, and here you can see the video I edited for EFPT. From now on Different is supporting EFPT with video/photo crew, to follow the "new wave" and make the tour and support for the riders and brands much higher! Together we can for sure achieve more!
